The mechanical major is a broad subject in engineering, and it is one of the most popular majors selected by science students. It can be called the strongest engineering major and is also a hot major in the future. Mechanical majors need good science knowledge, drawing skills, and electronic technology. "Electrical and mechanical do not separate". Nowadays, university disciplines are often combined with mechanical and electronic teaching.

Mechanical major is

China's large-scale industries are gradually recovering, and society's demand for proficient modern mechanical design and management talents is gradually increasing. For example, the employment rate of Beijing Jiaotong University Mechanical and Electronic Control Engineering Institute has remained above 90% in recent years. The structure and location are very good. In the future, there will still be a large demand for mechanical talents. CNC talents with development capabilities will become the target of competition among enterprises, and the supply-demand ratio of mechanical design and manufacturing and processing machinery professionals will also be high.

Mechanical majors include mechanical design and manufacturing and automation, material molding and control engineering, process equipment and control engineering, mechatronic engineering, measurement and control technology and instruments, mechatronics, aircraft design, vehicle engineering, agricultural mechanization and automation, industrial design. Many students have misunderstandings about the prospects of this kind of mechanical specialty, and think that the counterpart work of this kind of mechanical specialty does not look too "decent". In fact, they all ignored the breadth of adaptability of mechanical engineering majors, such as the application in equipment maintenance, numerical control repair, environmental protection equipment design and other fields. At the same time, there are many interdisciplinary subjects related to the machinery major, and the accumulation of these knowledge also provides a strong guarantee for employment across the machinery majors and industries. This kind of mechanical major requires students to have keen sensibility, unique creativity, imagination and strong hands-on ability. In fact, not all mechanical engineering majors only deal with hard machines. For example, the industrial design machinery major is an art-related mechanical machinery major. "What is industrial design?" Some people think,
