Banqiao District is a district of New Taipei City, the seat of the New Taipei City Government, and the best place in New Taipei City. Itabashi is located in the center of New Taipei City's main population and business hinterland. With the input of major public construction, it has recently become one of the major satellite cities in Taipei Metropolitan Area in recent years, and has gradually become the political and economic center of New Taipei City and the west bank of the Tamsui River . The Banqiao Linyuanyuan Residence (Linjia Garden) is a well-known historical site in the country, echoing the recent rapid development of the city, forming a new and old urban landscape that blends old and modern. The total area of Banqiao District is 23.14 square kilometers. The whole area is suitable for the development of human settlements and is surrounded by rivers. The district has a population of about 557,000, ranking first in all municipal districts in Taiwan. Its predecessor was Banqiao City , Taipei County. Banqiao's famous tourist night market is at the intersection of Nanya South Road and Nanya East Road. There is a 30-year-old archway at the entrance of the night market.
