Intermediate neuron

- Inhibitory neurons: found in Lamina VII. Responsible for inhibiting anthagonist motor neuron. Spindle afferents can be activated Inhibitory neurons Inhibitory neurons: can be found in Lamina V, VI, VII. The incoming message or Golgi tendon organ can activate it.
- Reductivists simply divide neurons in the brain into glutamate energy and GABA energy, the former being the majority, but the latter is very important. Without the inhibitory effect of GABA energy, it is easy to cause epilepsy and many advanced brain functions.
- Intermediate neurons are marked by their structural and functional diversity. There are 21 types of intermediate neurons in the CA1 area of the hippocampus, and more in the neocortex. These intermediate neurons can be classified based on three criteria: (1) morphological properties, especially target selectivity of axons; (2) expression of molecular markers, such as neuropeptides (somatostatin, a somatostatin, Cholecystokinin CCK, Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide, and Neuropeptide Y) and Ca2 + -binding proteins mainly include parvalbumin, calretinin and calbindin; (3) Functional characteristics-the most important is the characteristics of the action potential.
